Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 1 year of acute care experience, ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and other relevant credentials, with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift.

As part of the travel program, you will provide direct patient care across clinical areas, perform arterial sampling, maintain documentation, and collaborate with the care team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT, BLS, ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• 1 year of recent acute care experience required.
• Travel experience and state-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across clinical areas with respiratory modalities.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Calibrate and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and sample analysis per procedures.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and staff to optimize care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
