Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position open to first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience.

Position offers 3x12 hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), travel-friendly requirements, and comprehensive benefits including housing assistance and licensure reimbursements. Evening shifts and rotating weekends apply per schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• RRT certification preferred.
• CRT certification preferred.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Airway management devices and suctioning experience.
• Extubation procedures experience.
• Nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning proficiency.
• Tracheostomy care and management skills.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assign to Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit.
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
• Every other weekend required.
• 3 on-call shifts per schedule.
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation.
