Qualifications

• Current license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications preferred.
• Night shift availability and flexibility to work 19:00–07:30.

Responsibilities

• Care for the Respiratory Therapy unit within a 500+ bed hospital with Level 1 Pediatric and Adult Trauma and Burn designation.
• Support adult medical, trauma/neuro, burn, and cardiovascular critical care units and the Emergency Department.
• Provide respiratory care to patients and monitor conditions; document care.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and resources.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.
• Work independently with clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow Standard Precautions and PPE protocols.

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications preferred
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Respiratory Care unit within a 500+ bed hospital with Level 1 Pediatric and Adult Trauma and Burn designation
• Supports adult medical, trauma/neuro, burn, and cardiovascular critical care units as well as the Emergency Department
• Night shift hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Assess, plan, implement, and monitor respiratory care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and document patient condition
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health conditions and available support resources
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes
• Work independently using critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
• Accepts local candidates, though a radius rule may apply to pay rate eligibility
