Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift in Ohio. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of RRT experience and an active Ohio RRT license.

You will work in a large hospital system on a 3x12 night schedule (19:00–7:30) with potential to float to other facilities within the health system. Travel requirements include working every other holiday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Active NBRC certification required at time of consideration.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Active Ohio RRT license required.
• 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty being applied for, preferably within one location, required for Ohio locations.

• 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty being applied for, preferably within one location, required for Ohio locations

Responsibilities

• Respiratory department position within a large hospital system
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30
• Weekend work as needed
• May float to other facilities within the health system as needed
• Smoke-free and nicotine-free facility with no exceptions
• Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine/cotinine testing required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• COVID-19 vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions only
• Travelers are expected to work every other holiday
• Background check findings of any kind will be reviewed by the facility, and any hits on a professional license will not be accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break is typically required
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
• All requested time off must be discussed during the interview and included at time of consideration
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
