Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a 13-week night assignment in Ohio. Requires Ohio RCP licensure and ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications. Night shift is 3x12s (18:30–07:00).

Minimum 18 months’ experience preferred and two professional references. Tobacco-free facility; local candidates accepted at the same rate. Per diem and permanent staff may have a one-year return restriction.

Qualifications

• Must hold RRT or CRT by NBRC.
• Ohio RCP licensure required if applicable.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience preferred.
• Two professional references from a supervisor, manager, ANM, or director in the specialty required.

Responsibilities

• Respiratory Therapy / Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 18:30 to 7:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Assess patients to determine appropriate respiratory treatment type and frequency, and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment outcomes
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Educate patients and families on illness management and available community resources
• Requires strong critical thinking, independent judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work effectively in a stressful, fast-paced environment
• Facility is 100% tobacco-free; all travelers except nurses and CSTs must be nicotine-free and pass a 10-panel drug and nicotine screen
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this facility group for 1 year from their previous end date
