TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Respiratory Therapist for an assignment in Providence, Rhode Island. The position runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, primarily 12-hour night shifts.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of acute care experience and must hold BLS and ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver direct patient care, evaluate treatments, and assist with arterial blood gas sampling and equipment management while

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience in acute care.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• NBRC certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Administer a variety of respiratory and cardiology therapies and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory equipment; evaluate function and report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other staff to optimize care continuity.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
