Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for NICU/PICU/CVICU night shifts. An active Ohio RRT license and NBRC certification are required, with at least two years of pediatric critical care experience. Certifications in BLS, NRP, and PALS must be active at time of consideration.

The role includes shifts of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 3x12 or 4x12 schedule. Experience in PEDS, PICU, and NICU (Level 4 high acuity care) is required, and a 8–12 week contract length is offered.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RRT license required.
• NBRC certification required.
• BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS certifications active at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Care for pediatric patients in NICU/PICU/CVICU.
• High acuity Level 4 NICU care setting.
• May float to Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
• 8 to 12 week contract length.
• Provide respiratory care services to pediatric patients across NICU, PICU, and CVICU units.
• Travelers are expected to work every other holiday.
• Two fingerprinting processes required, one onsite prior to start and one through the agency.
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate.
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date.
• Assignments capped at 18 consecutive months, with a minimum 6-month break required before returning to any Cleveland Clinic location.

Requirements

• Active Ohio RRT license required if applicable
• NBRC certification required
• BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS certifications required and active at time of consideration, no pending certifications accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience in PEDS, PICU, and NICU (Level 4 high acuity care) required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required

Responsibilities

• Work within the RRT-NICU, PICU, and CVICU units caring for pediatric patients
• High acuity Level 4 NICU care setting
• May float to Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 8 to 12 week contract length
• Provide respiratory care services to pediatric patients across NICU, PICU, and CVICU units
• Facility is a smoke-free and nicotine-free environment with no exceptions
• Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) required within 12 months of start, updated annually
