Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and neonatal care exposure.

The role covers various settings including NICU and Pediatric Critical Care, with Sunrise charting system and potential Altera experience. Responsibilities include medication delivery, pulmonary hygiene, chest physiotherapy, and tracheostomy care for patients of all ages, including neonates.

Qualifications

• CRT or RRT certification required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Travel experience preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with ventilator management, airway management, and arterial blood gas interpretation.
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures such as CPAP, intubation assist, and apnea monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
• Weekend coverage included
• Provides care to patients of all ages, including neonates
• Work settings may include Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, LTAC, NICU, and Pediatric Critical Care
• Sunrise charting system required; Altera experience preferred
• Responsibilities include medication delivery, pulmonary hygiene, chest physiotherapy, and tracheostomy care
• Supports care for conditions such as ARDS, cystic fibrosis, RSV, and respiratory distress syndrome
• Participates in high-risk delivery support and neonatal/pediatric intubation assistance
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with mandatory compliance
• Allied health candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted as local
• Previous staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler
• Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or have a plan in place
• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 6-8 hours
