American Traveler is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position in Sacramento, California. The assignment spans 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, predominantly nights on a 3x12-hour schedule, treating adults across tele, ED, and pediatric floors.

The role requires RRT certification, BLS, PALS, CA license if applicable, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience including travel assignments and pediatric care. Epic EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with ARDS, aspiration, COVID, pneumonia, and fresh tracheostomy
• Experience with bronchoscopy, cystic fibrosis, and ECMO preferred
• Experience with pediatric critical care preferred
• Accepts local candidates at local rate
• Maximum 50-mile radius rule applies
• Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Only 1 holiday may be requested off per contract

Details

• Work across tele adult floors, Emergency Department, and potentially pediatric floors
• Busy ED treats critical patients ranging from birth to geriatric age
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
• Every other weekend required
