Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment experience for a night shift position treating adult, pediatric, and ED patients.

Details

• Work in a Respiratory Therapy department primarily covering tele adult floors, the Emergency Department, and potentially pediatric floors
• ED is high acuity, treating critical patients ranging from birth to geriatric age
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Current BLS and PALS certification
• Current RRT certification (NBRC and CA state license required if applicable)

• Prior travel assignment experience required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, ED, and pediatric settings
• Perform ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and SIMV, along with weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Administer medications via nebulizer, MDI, and other delivery systems
• Perform airway management procedures including intubation assist, extubation, and suctioning
• Experience with ABG interpretation and arterial blood draws
• Care for patients with ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis
• Experience with pediatric and neonatal equipment and procedures preferred
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
