American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift hospital position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active Ohio state license.

Details

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week


• 13-week assignment


• Weekend shifts required


• Floating between campuses may be required


• Works in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings


• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, weaning, and alarm troubleshooting


• Administers a wide range of respiratory medications via nebulizer, aerosol, and inhaler delivery systems


• Performs airway management including intubation/extubation support, suctioning, and tracheostomy care


• Utilizes high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy

Requirements

• Active Ohio State RRT license required at time of submission (license required if applicable)


• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist


• BLS certification required


• RRT certification required (CRT also acceptable, but not both)


• High school diploma or official transcripts required for compliance


• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program


• Skilled in interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)


• Experience with ventilator management, airway suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene procedures

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position


• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract, including travel to an in-state fingerprinting location if necessary


• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted


• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility


• Current employees are ineligible for traveler positions at this facility


• Requested time off must be submitted with contract and limited to 7 days or less


• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
