Schedule/Shift

3 nights per week from 19:15 to 06:45, with a rotation of every third weekend for day shifts.

Job Description

In this role, you will provide respiratory care services to patients, primarily focusing on those with COPD and pneumonia. You will be working in a busy outpatient surgery department, as well as supporting the emergency room during peak times. Candidate must be comfortable working independently as well as collaborating within a team. Patient beds are located on a single floor, with a small ICU unit also available.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor patient status and adjust therapies as necessary.
• Utilize specialized equipment, including Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators and Nihon Kohden NKV-330 ventilators.
• Participate in patient transport and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Previous experience in handling respiratory distress and administering emergency procedures.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid West Virginia Respiratory Therapy License (RRT or CRT).
• BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required.
