ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for assignments in Weirton, West Virginia. The role covers inpatient and outpatient care with night shifts and a 12-hour schedule, on a 13-week contract.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of experience (first-time travelers considered) and holds BLS and ACLS; NBRC RRT preferred, CRT grandfathered by WV board is acceptable. WV CARES is required prior to start.

Schedule/Shift

Schedule is a 4-week rotation schedule with shifts of 12 hours from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM or Mid Shift from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM. Weekend and holiday coverage are required as scheduled.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients across various settings including Inpatient (medical-surgical, PCU, ICU), ER, Rehab, PACU, SNF, Endo, and Outpatient. The role includes administering breathing treatments, drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs), performing capillary sticks for I-Stats, and managing respiratory equipment. No EKGs will be performed, and while assistance with intubations is required, independent intubation is not expected.

Responsibilities

• Administer breathing treatments to patients as needed.

Required Experience

Preferred candidates will have 3-4 years of experience, although first-time travelers will be considered.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) who is grandfathered in by the WV Board of Respiratory Care is acceptable.
• WV CARES required prior to start.
