American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in a Level 1 Trauma hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. The RRT will provide respiratory care in the Respiratory Care unit, working 3x12s days on a 36-hour week schedule.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience, NBRC RRT credential, BLS, and Indiana license. ACLS/NRP/PALS are preferred; local candidates may be considered. Compensation includes a tax-free stipend and comprehensive benefits.

Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week assignment in a Level 1 Trauma hospital's Respiratory Care unit.

Details

• 500+ bed hospital with Level 1 Pediatric and Adult Trauma and Burn designation
• Respiratory Care 001 unit supporting adult medical, trauma/neuro, burn, and cardiovascular critical care units as well as the Emergency Department
• 13-week assignment
• Shift hours 07:00-19:30

Requirements

• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
• Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's/Technical degree, or High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications preferred
• Current license with primary source verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start

• Assess, plan, and provide respiratory care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, equipment, and advanced respiratory care modalities
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health conditions and available support resources
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes
