• $1,160-$2,277 Weekly Rate
• Department: Associate Travel Program - RRT
• Schedule: Multiple shifts available, 36 hours per week
• Hospitals: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals

This position is a permanent, full-time role consisting of 8-13 week travel assignments. Rates vary by location and specialty.

Responsibilities

Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a care plan based on diagnosis.
• Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluate respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and available support programs.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credentials:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One or more of the following:
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credential obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• Preferred Credentials:
• Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the AAP
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's or Technical degree.

Additional Preferences

• One year of recent RRT experience strongly preferred.
