This position is a permanent, full-time role consisting of 8-13 week travel assignments. Rates vary by location and specialty.

Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
- Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a care plan based on diagnosis.
- Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Evaluate respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and available support programs.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Required Credentials:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- One or more of the following:
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credential obtained prior to hire or transfer.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC obtained prior to hire or transfer.
- Preferred Credentials:
- Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the AAP
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's or Technical degree.
Additional Preferences
- One year of recent RRT experience strongly preferred.
- Local and national travel options are available depending on need. Candidates are stipend-eligible for sites over 50+ miles from their permanent residence. Partner with Recruitment to learn more.
