**Details**

+ $1,160-$2,277 Weekly Rate

+ Department: Associate Travel Program - RRT

+ Schedule: Multiple shifts available, 36 hours per week

+ Hospital: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals

+ Location: Local and national travel options are available depending on need.

This position is a permanent, full-time role consisting of 8-13 week travel assignments. It is not a short-term or temporary contract. Rates vary by location and specialty.

**Responsibilities**

  • Evaluate and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
  • Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment type and frequency; develop care plans based on diagnosis.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Evaluate respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatments based on patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and available community support programs.
  • Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Required Credentials:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • One or more of the following:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed prior to hire/transfer.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the NBRC prior to hire/transfer.

Preferred Credentials:

  • Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification from AAP
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC)

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's degree, or a Technical degree.

**Additional Preferences**

  • At least one year of recent RRT experience preferred.
  • Travel options available; candidates over 50 miles from site may be stipend-eligible. Contact Recruitment for details.
