Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Olathe, Kansas.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• Discipline: RN
• Start Date: 06/23/2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Employment Type: Travel
• Monitor and care for patients with moderate to high acuity conditions requiring close observation.
• Perform frequent assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize early signs of clinical deterioration.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry changes appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately and promptly.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, and prepare patients accordingly.
• Respond to emergencies, including code situations, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital policies.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants and support staff.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain current certifications such as BLS and ACLS.
