Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric and gynecologic patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Monitor patient conditions, perform routine assessments, document findings, and respond to changes in status
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, and monitor for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines to ensure seamless patient flow
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, discharge planning, and post-discharge self-care
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality of care in a fast-paced hospital environment

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (California) or eligible for licensure by endorsement
• OB/GYN nursing experience or strong obstetric/gynecology clinical skills; ability to work 12-hour night shifts
