Responsibilities

• Assess and document maternal and neonatal status; respond to changes and communicate with physicians.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on pregnancy, delivery, postpartum care, and infant care.
• Collaborate with nursery staff and care team to implement care plans.
• Assist physicians with procedures and emergencies, maintaining a safe environment.
• Document events and education in the EMR; advocate for patient needs.

• Assist physicians with procedures and respond to emergencies, while maintaining a safe and clean care environment
• Document all events, interventions, and education in the electronic medical record; advocate for patient needs throughout the episode of care

Requirements

• Active Colorado Registered Nurse license
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
• BLS and NRP required; ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• Ability to work nights and meet the assignment’s schedule; weekend and holiday coverage as required
• Demonstrated ability to perform in a high-acuity, fast-paced obstetric setting and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
