Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel Labor and Delivery assignment in Salida, Colorado. The contract runs for 13 weeks starting 09/28/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 3x12 night shift.

Weekly pay ranges from $2,873 to $2,943, with opportunities for extension. The role is based in a Critical Access Hospital's Family Birthing Center and requires weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license.
• BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• Ability to work nights and weekends/holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Directly provide patient care and monitor mother and neonate during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Assess and document maternal and neonatal status; respond to changes and communicate with physicians.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on pregnancy, delivery, postpartum care, and infant care.
• Collaborate with nursery staff and care team to implement care plans.
• Assist physicians with procedures and emergencies, maintaining a safe environment.
• Document events and education in the EMR; advocate for patient needs.
