Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Roswell, NM, in a Labor & Delivery unit. Nights shifts are 3x12, start date 09/14/2026, contract duration measured in weeks. Expect travel RN duties across the LDRP continuum with direct patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements include NM license (compact accepted if obtained), BLS/NRP/STABLE, 1+ year L&D experience, and Epic charting. Travel-specific checks and on-call considerations apply.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in New Mexico; NM/Compact licensure accepted if obtained prior to start.
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience; charge experience and community hospital experience preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Ability to work nights in an LDRP unit and float to like units as needed.
• Travel-specific requirements: fingerprints/background checks; locals not accepted within 50 miles; pre-approved time off (RTO) listed at submittal; max 4 days RTO auto-approved.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for obstetric patients across the LDRP continuum (labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum).
• Support vaginal deliveries and cesarean-related recovery per unit guidelines; manage couplet care for mother and newborn.
• Perform newborn assessments, thermoregulation monitoring, and initial management of hypoglycemia; assist with phototherapy as needed.
• Deliver breastfeeding and lactation support; assist with circumcision, episiotomy/incision care, and infant identification.
• Triage obstetric patients, monitor maternal/fetal status, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services); participate in Rapid Response when required.
• Document care in Epic; may float to similar units within scope as needed.
