Start 09/28/2026; 36 hours per week; rotating shifts; travel support available. Required: MT RN license, BLS, NRP provider, FHM recertifications; ACLS optional for Lactation RN; prior L&D experience preferred.

"> NRP Provider certification with recert every 2 years
"> FHM certification (recert every 2 years)
"> ECG/EFM-related certification (not required if Lactation RN)
"> ACLS certification (not required if Lactation RN)
"> Prefer 1 year of labor and delivery experience
"> Lactation RN: CLC or IBCLC certification preferred

Responsibilities

Circulate during labor and delivery and may float to Mother Baby and care for newborns as needed
Plan and implement patient and family education on labor, delivery, newborn care, and lactation support
Assess patient needs, develop an individualized care plan, and implement interventions
Monitor fetal status and respond to obstetric emergencies in collaboration with the health care team
Document care, evaluate outcomes, participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice, provide leadership
Maintain ethical standards, collaborate with patients and families, and adapt to a busy clinical setting

Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery, Bozeman, Montana, United States. Travel assignment starting 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,521–$2,621 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. Shift: Rotating. Setting: Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit. Responsibilities

Circulate during labor and delivery and be willing to float to Mother Baby and care for newborns (couplets), and to other units as safety needs dictate
Plan and implement patient and family education related to labor, delivery, newborn care, and lactation support as appropriate
Assess patient needs, identify diagnoses or issues, develop an individualized plan of care, and implement interventions to achieve expected outcomes
Monitor fetal status and respond to obstetric emergencies in collaboration with the health care team; promote a safe, clean, and well‑organized clinical environment
Document care, evaluate outcomes, participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice, and provide leadership within the professional practice setting
Maintain ethical standards, collaborate with patients and families, and adapt to a busy, dynamic clinical setting
On-call duties may be required to meet organizational or patient needs

Requirements

Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) active
American Heart Association BLS
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider certification (NRP recertification required every 2 years)
Electronic Fetal Monitoring Series Certificate of Completion (or equivalent AWHONN-approved course) (Not required if a Lactation RN)
Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) recertification every 2 years
American Heart Association ACLS (Not required if a Lactation RN)
Competence in and willingness to practice modified primary nursing
Two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education
If Lactation RN: Certification in lactation consulting/counseling (CLC, IBCLC)
Preferred: One year of labor and delivery experience
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced obstetric setting and to float as needed
