Job summary

Healthforce Healthcare LLC is seeking an RN for a travel Labor & Delivery assignment in Reedley, CA. The position runs for about 8 weeks starting on 08/17/2026, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts in a hospital-based L&D unit.

The assignment includes dedicated travel support, credentialing and onboarding assistance, and nationwide travel opportunities within the Healthforce network.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Experience in labor and delivery or high-acuity obstetric care preferred.
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements and work in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct obstetric nursing care for a patient or group of patients following the nursing process and established standards of care.
• Monitor labor progress, fetal status, and maternal condition; administer medications per orders and document care accurately.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Apply critical thinking and independent judgment to clinical decisions; elevate concerns as appropriate.
• Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and transition care within the scope of L&D.
