Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to the nursing process and established standards
• Collect and analyze relevant patient data; develop and implement a plan of care; monitor progress toward outcomes
• Collaborate with the care team, families, and other disciplines; participate in discharge planning and patient education
• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks as appropriate; ensure safe, high-quality care
• Administer medications, monitor for adverse effects, and respond to changes in patient status using critical thinking and independent judgment
• Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and participate in ongoing quality improvement and safety initiatives

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice (California) and ability to work in the listed location
• At least two years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and CPR certification from an approved vendor; BLS is required per policy
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Night shift availability and ability to work in a hospital ICU setting; strong communication and teamwork skills
