Qualifications

• Healthy at high altitude (8,000 feet) to safely function.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care for geriatric patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for care coordination and discharge planning.
• Document accurately in EHR and follow hospital policies.
• Monitor safety, fall risk, oxygenation, and therapy response at high altitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to geriatric patients, including assessment, monitoring, and care planning
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and document appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and family communication
• Perform accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with hospital policies
• Monitor patient safety, fall risk, oxygenation, and response to therapy in a high-altitude setting, with escalation as needed
• Adapt plans of care based on changes in patient condition and maintain clinical competency in geriatric care

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS); First Aid certification; BLS and First Aid may be obtained upon hire
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
• Not accepting any RTO (no scheduled time off during assignment)
• Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low-oxygen environment at high altitude (8,000 feet)
