Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse with ER experience for a travel assignment in Templeton, California. Responsibilities

• Provide ER nursing care including triage, initial assessment, treatment, and discharge planning across all ages
• Monitor patient status, administer meds and therapies as ordered, and escalate care when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to implement individualized care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and discharge instructions in the EMR accurately
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, privacy, and assist with procedures and equipment as delegated
• Support CNA team and promptly communicate changes in patient status to the care team

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, initial assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for patients from newborns to geriatrics.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications and therapies as ordered, and **escalate care when needed**.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to implement and adjust individualized care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions, and discharge instructions accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, privacy, and assist with procedures and equipment as delegated.
• Support the CNA team where applicable and communicate changes in patient status promptly to the care team.

Requirements

• Active registered nursing license in California (or eligible for CA licensure)
• Emergency Department experience or exposure in an acute care setting preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Strong triage, assessment, and documentation skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment
