Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and high-quality charting in the ED system.
• Respond to acute changes, implement rapid interventions, and escalate to physicians as needed.
• Support department operations during busy periods and assist with turnover.

Overview

Registered Nurse - Emergency Room travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 10/26/2026 for a 13-week assignment in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range is $2,184 to $2,269 per week. Shift is Nights, 12 hours per shift (3x12 nights) for a total of 36 hours per week. This is a travel - temporary assignment with no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning for patients across the lifespan from newborns to geriatrics
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, interpret and respond to changes in condition, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with CNAs and the broader care team to ensure safe patient flow, timely interventions, and appropriate discharge instructions
• Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and high-quality charting in the ED record system
• Respond to acute changes in patient condition, implement rapid interventions as directed, and escalagate to physicians when needed
• Support department operations during busy periods and assist with procedures and patient turnover as required

Requirements

• Active RN license in California (or eligible for licensure in California)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced ED environment
• Willingness to undertake a 13-week travel assignment starting 10/26/2026
• Emergency Department experience or exposure preferred
