Weis Markets seeks a Commercial Refrigeration Technician to service and repair supermarket equipment across Maryland, including Hampstead, Towson, and Owings Mills. Travel required with a $15,000 sign-on bonus paid in installments.

You’ll service refrigeration, HVAC, and related systems, complete reports, and train new technicians while maintaining safety and food-handling standards. The role demands EPA Type I/II certification, MSDS/OSHA knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems.
• EPA certified (Type I and II) in proper refrigeration practices.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; insurable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests to repair supermarket refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Complete service reports, time sheets, and purchase records to document activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Train new Service Techs and communicate with the Service Supervisor on actions needed.
• Handle emergency breakdowns and project a professional image while following food safety rules.
