Job summary

ESS, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Representative for the Houston area with travel across Texas and the US as needed. The role is part-time to potentially full-time (20–40 hours/week). Flexibility for weekend/overnight work with notice is required.

You will perform supplier quality surveillance, inspect materials, and review documentation to ensure compliance with codes and procurement requirements. Experience in QA/QC and supplier surveillance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience involving in-shop surveillance, examination, or testing activities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; or Associate Degree with related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to review documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Review procurement documents with suppliers to ensure understanding of requirements.
• Participate in kickoff and pre-fabrication meetings; confirm witness points and test plans.
• Verify qualified procedures, personnel, and calibrated equipment before work starts.
• Monitor supplier activities and witness operations to ensure PO requirements are met.
• Review supplier documentation; reject nonconforming material and document findings.
• Release conforming material for shipment and report surveillance results.
