Job summary

Northern Orthotic & Prosthetic Center seeks a dedicated Certified Orthotist (C. Ped) or Board Eligible to design, fabricate and fit orthotic devices for patients requiring limb support. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and therapists to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, device fabrication, patient education, and ongoing device adjustments. A 60% travel requirement to outreach clinics is noted; company vehicle is provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Certified Orthotist or C. Ped; Board Eligible status is acceptable.
• Must be able to travel to outreach clinics (about 60% of the time).
• Full-time position with relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs through evaluations and examinations.
• Design and fabricate custom orthotic devices tailored to patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare teams on treatment plans.
• Educate patients on device use and care; ensure maintenance and adjustments.
• Monitor progress and modify devices as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records of assessments, treatments and outcomes.
• Stay current with orthotic technology and best practices.
