Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is seeking a Heavy Civil Project Engineer to support underground utility, water, and sewer projects nationwide, with travel and time on sites and at the corporate office.

The role emphasizes coordination with PMs, field leaders, and crews to keep projects on schedule and safe. The position offers a base salary of $85,000–$100,000 with annual bonus eligibility and travel benefits, including lodging and per diem.

Responsibilities

• Support underground utility, water, and sewer projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Review drawings, specifications, permits, and contract requirements; help resolve questions before they affect field work.
• Track schedules, costs, quantities, and project progress, and prepare accurate status reports.
• Manage project documentation, including submittals, requests for information, meeting notes, and change records.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, crews, subcontractors, engineers, and customers.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination, invoice review, procurement, and closeout.
• Participate in site visits and planning meetings while supporting safe field operations.
• Use HCSS, HeavyJob, Vista View, Bluebeam, P6, and Microsoft Project to support project delivery.
