Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is seeking a Heavy Civil Project Engineer to support underground utility, water, and sewer projects nationwide, with travel three out of four weeks. Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience, with projects typically lasting 1–3 years.

You’ll collaborate with project managers and field leaders, review drawings and contracts, track progress, and manage documentation. Travel, lodging, and per diem are covered by the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy civil construction; underground utilities or related work preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with drawings, schedules, cost tracking, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsabilités

• Support underground utility, water, and sewer projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Review drawings, specifications, permits, and contract requirements; help resolve questions before they affect field work.
• Track schedules, costs, quantities, and project progress, and prepare accurate status reports.
• Manage project documentation, including submittals, requests for information, meeting notes, and change records.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, crews, subcontractors, engineers, and customers.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination, invoice review, procurement, and closeout.
• Participate in site visits and planning meetings while supporting safe field operations.
• Use HCSS, HeavyJob, Vista View, Bluebeam, P6, and Microsoft Project to support project delivery.
