Job summary

Borri S.p.A. in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the Borri team.

You will travel to customer sites across the US, Mexico, and Canada to perform commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and battery capacity tests, and you will train customers on our UPS and power conversion equipment. This role requires strong electrical fundamentals, ability to read schematics, and willingness to travel about two weeks per month.

Qualifications

• Electrical technician with min. 2 years field service experience.
• Experience with UPS, rectifiers, inverters or other power conversion equipment.
• Able to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams.
• Strong English writing and speaking skills.
• Willingness to travel approx. two weeks per month.
• Spanish and/or Italian language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites (approximately two weeks per month) across the US, Mexico, and Canada to perform commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, customer training and battery capacity tests.
• Site activities include verifying installation, performing functional tests, troubleshooting and system repair or upgrades.
• Write detailed reports describing work performed for each trip, including timesheets.
• Provide customer training and create training materials.
• Support customers via phone or email and coordinate service trips.
