Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Distribution Inspector to support engineers and project managers on various construction projects in the New Orleans, LA area. This role requires traveling up to 100% with mobilization provided by WSP.

Responsibilities include field inspections of concrete, underground pipelines, earthwork, and electrical installations. The incumbent will generate precise documentation and ensure compliance with plans, codes, and project standards while coordinating with cross-functional

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 9 years of post-education experience in construction inspection.
• Essential licensure/certification(s) and valid state driver's license.
• Strong knowledge of construction inspection principles, codes, and record-keeping.
• Excellent written technical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze data from field inspections and project documentation.
• Perform inspections on projects of moderate complexity using survey instruments and test equipment.
• Provide technical guidance on inspection, construction, and safety standards.
• Act as a consultant on work progress and resolve field issues.
• Verify calculations and contract plan interpretation; assist with progress payments.
