Job summary

Field AI is seeking a proactive Field Application Engineer to support deployment, testing, and client-facing operations of our robotic systems, including drones, quadrupeds, and humanoid robots. This is a part-time role based in Burlington, TX with regular travel across the U.S.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates who thrive in technical and operational settings, possess a passport and REAL ID, and are prepared for site work and on-site collaboration with engineers and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, EE, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Strong communication skills; translate technical topics for varied audiences.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the U.S.
• Up-to-date passport and REAL ID (or equivalent travel docs) preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well in teams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate robotic systems in the field, support testing and data collection.
• Supervise remote operations and assist during client presentations and demos.
• Facilitate smooth, clear communication between engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document technical issues, test results, and client feedback in detail.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and contribute to continuous workflow improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on system performance and usability.
