Job summary

Qualifications

• DME experience preferred.
• One to three years in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• One to three years of experience in prior authorizations, particularly in DME or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily DME program operations at assigned site(s).
• Travel up to 50% is required.
• Manage ordering, documentation, and data entry of DME and related supplies.
• Establish and monitor inventory of orthopedic DME.
• Conduct on-site patient fitting and patient education of all DME.
• Manage DME precertification and preauthorization requests.
• Track and organize necessary paperwork to facilitate insurance billing of DME.
• Educate clinic staff members and providers on proper DME policies and procedures.
