Job summary

P&E Constructors is seeking a Cost Control Specialist to manage budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and billing substantiation on major shop and fabrication projects. You will partner with Project Controls, Estimating, and Accounting to keep the financial picture accurate throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes translating physical progress into earned dollars, maintaining EAC/ETC forecasts, and supporting change order pricing, with travel up to 90% for nationwide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, or related field.
• Experience with ERP-based job costing and cost forecasting (EAC/ETC).
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large cost data.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Budget setup and maintenance for project costs using WBS and cost codes.
• Monitor labor, materials, and subcontract costs; reconcile variances.
• Prepare cost reports: actual costs, commitments, EAC/ETC, variances.
• Support change order pricing and cost impact analysis.
• Assist billing and cash management with supporting records.
