Job summary
Dematic is seeking a Controls Engineer in the United States to design and commission automated systems. You will translate contractual requirements into engineering deliverables, lead technical reviews, and collaborate across ME/CE leads while traveling up to 40% to customer sites.
Candidates should have a BS/BA in electrical engineering, 5+ years of related experience, familiarity with AutoCAD and Rockwell PLCs, and knowledge of Ethernet IP networking to support high‑quality, on‑time project
Qualifications
- BS/BA in electrical engineering or closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- Proficient with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Proficient with Rockwell PLCs, hardware and software.
- Knowledge of AC drives, open and closed loop.
- Experience with Ethernet IP networking.
- Strong communication and customer focus.
Responsibilities
- Translate project requirements into engineering deliverables and tasks.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and practices.
- Identify and resolve engineering issues to prevent delays.
- Monitor and manage project KPIs and schedule adherence.
- Collaborate with project management and ME/CE leads on specifications.
- Prepare project status reports and financial forecasts.
- Lead technical reviews and post-mortems for continuous improvement.
- Complete design of schematics and control panels.
- Oversee commissioning of complex systems integrating hardware and software.
