Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of General Services seeks an Assistant Construction Project Coordinator for the South Eastern Region. This home-based role requires daily travel to sites across Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, with occasional trips to Lehigh, Northumberland and Schuylkill.

Qualifications

• Four years of professional building construction administration, construction planning, or construction project engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel to various counties in the South Eastern Region and beyond as needed.
• Active Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Project Monitoring: Track construction progress and identify issues that may slow or disrupt work.
• Technical Guidance: Provide direction to contractors and outside professionals on project expectations.
• Quality Assurance: Confirm materials, inspections, and testing meet required standards.
• Change Orders: Review and evaluate proposed changes to determine their impact on project needs.
• Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project records through the department's electronic system.
• Agency Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for agencies to reduce disruptions during construction activities.
