Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team is seeking a Commissioning Consultant to perform basic technical and project management duties under supervision of a Senior Commissioning Authority or Project Manager. You will understand project requirements and execute basic commissioning tasks, providing guidance to Commissioning Coordinators.

This role is open to any location with a Stantec office presence. Ideal candidates have foundational commissioning knowledge, can read and interpret technical documents, and

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• FE/EIT or other professional certification preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, specs, procedures, and regulations.
• Proficient in applicable software.
• Exhibits strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors and coworkers.
• Willingness to travel 75%+ domestically; international travel possible.

Responsibilities

• Develops basic commissioning deliverables under minimal supervision and provides solutions to general technical problems.
• Works with Senior Cx Authority to prepare project deliverables per proposals.
• Follows the quality management process and reviews deliverables prior to QA/AC review.
• Participates in engineering/professional community for knowledge growth (meetings/conferences).
• Supports the project manager by planning tasks within timeline and budget, coordinating with others as needed.
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
• Identifies and reports potential roadblocks that affect scope, schedule, or budget.
