Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. seeks a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial service from the hub to customer residences in our Texas service area. The role requires overnight travel as needed and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, with a safety-first mindset.

You will interpret drawings, perform the installation, promote Kinetic products, train new staff, and operate field tech devices while complying with DOT and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel overnight as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber & coaxial drop cable to connect Kinetic’s network to the customer’s residence.
• Use technical and customer-focused approach to create meaningful connections with customers.
• Interpret work drawings and instructions and complete necessary paperwork.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
• Operate hand-held computer to retrieve and clear job tasks.
• Perform locates on underground facilities as applicable.
• Operate trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
