Job summary

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Technical Instructor in Minneapolis to conduct comprehensive training for employees and maintenance vendors. You will develop curricula, ensure FAA and company standards, and collaborate across Maintenance and Engineering teams.

The role requires hands-on training, document control, and travel to conduct training events for external providers. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience training peers or providing technical oversight in aircraft concepts, systems operation, and maintenance troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving skills.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be available to work varied hours to support maintenance schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and effective training using latest aids, ensuring compliance with the GMM.
• Conduct initial, recurrent, and on-the-job training.
• Maintain special authorization training such as Engine Run, Airworthiness Release, ETOPS, RI/RII/INSP, and Towing.
• Conduct aircraft systems training (Gen Fam and system specific).
• Review training content to meet FAA and company standards.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and developing training initiatives.
• Attend training events by outside vendors and travel for external providers.
• Keep accurate training records for attendees.
