Sun Country Airlines in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Maintenance Controller to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure aircraft remain airworthy across all bases. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and effective communication with multiple teams.

You will monitor mechanical status, coordinate with Materials and contractors, and support planning for daily RON work packages while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Three or more years’ experience on the 737-800 or similar type aircraft.
• A&P Certificate with currency requirements met.
• Experience with troubleshooting equipment and operation issues.
• Ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the Company.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative.
• Self-motivated and independent problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Sun Country Airlines’ aircraft to the highest standards to assure safe, economical, and on-time operation.
• Be aware of mechanical status of all operating aircraft and general status and availability of aircraft undergoing maintenance.
• Provide a current follow-up system of deferred repairs for timely corrective action.
• Coordinate activities of Materials and contract to accomplish tasks.
• Assist in planning for daily RON work packages as directed by Management.
• Conduct all tasks safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Maintain oversight over on-call line maintenance providers and ensure they perform required maintenance.
