Sun Country Airlines in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Technical Instructor to conduct training for employees and maintenance vendors, covering aircraft systems and non-technical topics. You will define, develop, and improve training curriculum in collaboration with Maintenance, Engineering, FAA, ARB, and other groups.

Two years of peer-training experience, MS Office proficiency, and availability for varied hours are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience training peers or providing technical oversight in aircraft concepts, systems operation, and maintenance troubleshooting and resolution.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be available to work varied hours to support maintenance schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and effective training utilizing the latest training aids, tools, and methods ensuring compliance with the GMM.
• Conduct comprehensive initial, recurrent, and on-the-job training.
• Maintain special authorization training such as Engine Run, Engine Run/Taxi, Airworthiness Release, ETOPS, LLM RTS, RI/RII/INSP, and Towing.
• Conduct aircraft systems training (Gen Fam and system specific).
• Review training program to ensure content and delivery meet FAA and company standards.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and development of training initiatives.
• Attend training events conducted by outside vendors.
• Travel and conduct training events for external maintenance providers.
• Keep accurate training records for persons who have attended both internal and external training events.
• Mentor new Maintenance Technicians and others needing refreshers.
• Perform all duties safely and in compliance with policies and procedures.
