Softrim LLC is hiring an Access Control and Surveillance Technician in Estero, FL. The role involves installing, configuring, and supporting access control and digital surveillance systems across commercial sites.

Travel will be 50–75% to job sites nationwide. The candidate must have 5+ years in the field, a valid driver’s license, and fluent English. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of access control and surveillance experience.
• Ability to install, program, calibrate and repair access control and digital surveillance systems.
• Able to interpret plan drawings and project details.
• Physically able to climb ladders, lift 50 lbs, crouch, kneel, crawl, and operate tools safely.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• English language fluent; Spanish a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, program, and provide technical support for access control hardware (maglocks, electric strikes, readers, controllers, etc.).
• Install, configure, program, and provide technical support for digital surveillance hardware (cameras, DVR/NVR, power supplies).
• Run LV cabling for access control and surveillance systems when needed for complete installations.
• Provide on-call support as required per rotation schedule.
• Document site surveys with photos and notes; gather drawings and plans; coordinate with other departments.
