Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist with 1+ year of experience for a Days shift assignment at a Level II trauma center. The position offers a 13-week contract with a 40-hour guarantee and no holiday coverage.

Responsibilities include performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, proper patient and equipment positioning, and strict radiation safety. Travel lodging and licensure support are provided; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of X-ray experience required.
• Active ARRT certification required.
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required.
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required.
• Current skills checklist (within 1 year) pertinent to specialty required.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Radiology unit within a Level II trauma center.
• Monday through Friday day shift, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• 13-week assignment with a 40-hour guarantee and no holiday coverage.
• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures using accurate application of ionizing radiation for diagnosis.
• Position patients and equipment to accurately demonstrate the area being examined, requiring strong anatomic positioning skills.
• Provide appropriate radiation protection for patients and staff per safety standards.
• Adjust technical factors using independent judgment and knowledge of anatomy, disease effects, and radiologic equipment operation.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates will not be considered.
• Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested during the assignment.
