American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Flint, MI. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years X-Ray experience and ARRT certification, with state license if applicable.

The role operates three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) on a 3 of 4 schedule, with no weekend/on-call duties and a focus on ALARA safety. Responsibilities include imaging in the department, positioning patients, shielding, image optimization, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years X-Ray experience required.
• ARRT certification required.
• State license required if applicable.
• Compact license not accepted.

Responsibilities

• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• No scrub color requirements.
• Responsibilities include explaining procedures, positioning patients, and using lead shielding for radiation protection.
• Operate X-ray equipment and adjust technical factors such as voltage and current to produce clear images.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and retake as necessary.
• Follow ALARA safety procedures, sanitize equipment, and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain patient records and document procedures.
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested.
• Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers.
