American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years of experience to work day shifts in a 70-bed hospital setting. The role requires fluoroscopy experience, Epic charting, and current BLS, ARRT (R), and SCRQSA (R) certifications. A license is required if applicable.

C-arm experience is preferred and travel experience is welcomed. The position involves covering radiology and cardiology imaging needs, performing general radiography and fluoroscopy studies, and using GE/Siemens

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiography including chest, abdomen, spine, extremities, and trauma imaging.
• Use GE and Siemens imaging equipment and PACS (Sectra) for documentation; Epic for basic charting.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years of experience and fluoroscopy skills to work day shifts in a 70-bed hospital setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist
• Current BLS, ARRT (R), and SCRQSA (R) certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Fluoroscopy experience required
• C-arm experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Must provide own radiation badge, as the facility does not supply one for travelers
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• 70-bed hospital setting
• X-Ray Tech unit covering radiology and cardiology imaging needs
• 5x8 day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement, though coverage for callouts may occasionally be requested
• No floating required between units or sister facilities
• Performs general radiography including chest, abdomen, spine, extremities, and trauma imaging
• Performs fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, and arthrography
• Uses GE and Siemens imaging equipment and PACS (Sectra) for documentation
• Uses Epic for minimal basic charting
• First-time travelers accepted
• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic imaging across adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ED, ICU, and OR settings
• Supports trauma and bedside/portable imaging procedures
• Scrub color requirement: black or teal
• No parking costs
• Facility may assign staff to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November)
• Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration for approval based on facility needs
