Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a Diagnostic Imaging role in Florida. The candidate will support OR cases with C-arm imaging, ensuring high-quality studies and patient safety.

Shifts are 10 hours, with a focus on complex Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, and General surgery procedures in a high-acuity environment. Travel, housing allowance, and licensure reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of OR experience required
• Independently support complex Ortho, Neuro, Vascular and General surgery
• Level 1 trauma experience due to high-acuity environment
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current FL Radiologic Technologist license if applicable
• ARRT certification and BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures for patients of all ages in the OR
• Work 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday
• Support complex surgical cases using radiographic and C-arm equipment
• Position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and ensure image quality
• Maintain patient safety and comply with radiation safety standards
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and care teams
• Support department quality initiatives and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience within the OR required
• Must independently support complex Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, and General surgery cases with minimal additional training
• Level 1 trauma experience required due to high-acuity surgical environment
• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current FL Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required

Responsibilities

• Rad Diagnostic unit performing diagnostic radiographic procedures for patients of all ages
• 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday
• Operates in an OR environment supporting complex Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, and General surgery cases
• Uses radiographic and C-arm equipment
• Responsibilities include positioning patients, operating radiographic equipment, producing quality diagnostic images, and maintaining patient safety
• Ensures compliance with departmental and regulatory standards and radiation safety practices
• Maintains accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Communicates with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Supports department quality initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements
• Unit Manager interview required as part of the hiring process
• Florida AHCA Level 2 screening may take up to 14 business days to process
• Seasonal influenza vaccination required, with medical exemption requests allowed for the 2026-2027 season via exemption form
• Candidates with prior travel assignment experience will be considered
• Local submissions not accepted
• Eligible for local rate within 50 miles
