Qualifications

- Preferred experience with Accuray Radixact, Mosaiq Record and Verify software, and Siemens CT Simulator GO.PRO scanner.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in outpatient Radiation Oncology, including treatment planning and delivery.
- Collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, oncologists, RNs, and LPNs.
- Operate Varian TrueBeam and related systems (SRS/SBRT/VMAT).
- Maintain accurate charting in Mosaiq; document patient interactions and treatment details.
- Float within department to support transport duties, always paired with another therapist.

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist for an outpatient Radiation Oncology department requiring ARRT certification and 3-5 years of Radiation Oncology experience with Varian TrueBeam expertise.
- Outpatient clinic attached to a hospital, treating 98-99% outpatient and some inpatient cases via transport team
- Sees approximately 65 patients per day across cancer types including lung, breast, brain, head/neck, GYN, metastatic disease, and lymphomas
- 2:1 therapist-to-machine ratio, with 3 therapists on the TrueBeam machine and 2:1 ratio for CT simulation
- Uses Varian TrueBeam treatment machine in conjunction with Mosaiq
- Epic charting preferred, Mosaiq charting required
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 0800-1630, no weekend rotation, no call requirements
- May float within the department to support transport duties, always paired with another therapist
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT licensure required
- SD State licensure not required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program eligible for ARRT (T) certification
- 3-5 years of experience in Radiation Oncology, 5 years preferred

- No holiday coverage required
- Up to 7 days of time off allowed without manager approval, with extension required to complete a full 13-week contract
- Steel grey scrub color required
- Free parking available on-site
- Open to first-time travelers with the required experience
- Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility
- Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler
